DMA NOW HAS TWO LEVELS OF PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITIONS

DMA HAS RESPONDED TO OUR MEMBERS REQUEST AND WILL BE LAUNCHING OUR

TWO PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITIONS FINALS

AT THE 2013 NATIONAL CONVENTION

THE COMPETITIVE FINALS & THE ELITE FINALS

 The NEW COMPETITIVE FINALS COMPETITION has been established for the competitive student who has not yet reached the ELITE COMPETITION FINALS level. It will be the decision of the Member Teachers of Record to determine which of the two, COMPETITIVE OR ELITE FINALS COMPETITION to place their students.

Please remember that students entering the ELITE FINALS COMPETITION as a soloist, all Solo Title Contestants       and all National Title Winners are only permitted to compete in the ELITE FINAL COMPETITION.

The only exception to this rule is in the production category.

The “COMPETITIVE FINAL COMPETITION” will receive awards for each individual entry, their own High Score Awards, Overall Awards for 12 and under and 13 and over, and the popular Special Awards.

The “ELITE FINAL COMPETITION” will receive awards for each individual entry, their own High Score Awards, Overall Awards for 12 and under and 13 and over, and the popular Special Awards.

Advancement to the GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP will come from the “ELITE FINALS COMPETITION.”

All choreography awards will come from the ELITE FINALS COMPETITION and monetary awards come from the GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS and the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS.
